Safeguarding is at the heart of what Tutor The Nation does as a charity.

We believe that safeguarding is a positive process that allows all of the young people we support to thrive. Any queries about our safeguarding approach should be directed to our Designated Safeguarding Lead via sally@tutorthenation.org. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is currently Sally Hakmi.

What you can except from us

TRAINING

All of our volunteers and staff are provided with robust safeguarding training to ensure that they understand their obligations and how to keep young people safe whilst working for Tutor The Nation.

MONITORING

All tutoring takes places on our online whiteboard. Each lesson is automatically recorded and stored centrally. Communication between lessons is also monitored and securely stored.

SAFE RECRUITMENT

All volunteers and staff undergo an Enhanced DBS check, organised and funded by Tutor The Nation. Graduates and experienced tutors must also provide two references before completing their application.
