Tutors of Christmas Day 4: Molly Coker

What are did you study at university? 

I’m a graduate – I have a first class BA (Hons) in Literature and an MA (with distinction) in Literature, both from the University of Essex.

What is your current job role? 

I’m currently working in retail as a customer assistant, while doing research on asexual narrative structure as part of brainstorming ideas for my PhD.

Any memorable moments from tutoring a pupil?

My favourite lesson so far has been going through my pupil’s essay with them line-by-line and suggesting ways to improve, or otherwise those moments when a pupil has a particular issue but by the end of the lesson we’ve managed to solve it.  I find it really rewarding when I can help someone gain a better understanding of a topic they’ve been struggling with.
